Stupid Blogger Tricks - Attacking the Celebrities

The god of Irony gets a special chuckle when a blogger attacks a celebrity's qualifications for voicing an opinion.

I'm probably violating a union rule by pointing this out, but the fact that you have a blog doesn't make you any more qualified to voice an opinion on global warming than Leonardo DiCaprio.

And, if you're going to start throwing stones from the glass porch on your glass house, it might be helpful to pick a target that doesn't have 99% of the scientists on his side.

You're so confrontational, Dan. . .

A couple more rounds like that and you'll be forced to change the name of your blog.

Good work. Well, mildly good work, I guess.

Doesn't having a blog make one less qualified to comment - on anything? ;-)

I mean I'm blogging and I know I'm not qualified to comment on anything.

I tried to post a comment on that blog, one that I don't recall visiting before, and I got the following error message:

"Sorry, but your comment has been flagged by the spam filter running on this blog: this might be an error, in which case all apologies. Your comment will be presented to the blog admin who will be able to restore it immediately.
You may want to contact the blog admin via e-mail to notify him."

Either this guy censors comments, or I am on some sort of Republican right-wing blacklist.

99% WOW! Careful with those slippery statistics. The legitimate climate scientists agree that things are warming up, yes.

But more and more of the most creditable climate scientists are distancing themselves from the dogmatic "human caused" part of the story. They are concerned lest their professional reputations be trashed when the weight of evidence breaks the dam of "religious Gore-thodoxy" (think Galileo and the Cardinals; Gore ain't Galileo).
