Quandary
I just got an invitation to a fundraiser for Jay Nixon at Boulevard Brewery. Hmmm. The state's least appealing democrat at the state's most appealing brewery.
I've stated my feelings about Nixon here, here and here.
I think I'll stay home and drink my homebrew.

The thought of the choice for Missouri governor in '08 being Blunt vs. Nixon makes my stomach churn. Are there others who feel this way? Time for a grassroots effort to recruit a candidate? We need another Dem to take Nixon on in the primary. Or, failing that, how about an independent? Maine and Minnesota have had independent governors in the past decade (though let's not follow the Minnesota example).
Wow. When someone makes your stomach churn so much that free Boulevard at the brewery isn't worth it, it's bad.
And I don't blame you.
There's too much at stake. When it comes time, you'll do your duty. And know it was the right thing to do.
