Free Advice on Backing Up Your Computer

The hardware/software people ought to make it easier for people to backup (and restore!). I've found that various options either seem more complete (but are so hard to get programmed right that you may not be backing up crucial files) or seem easier (but don't allow you to customize sufficiently to make sure you are getting all that you want).
And it's no good to think you are backing up nightly if files are not easily restored.
Everyone should backup nightly to secure medium any files they don't want to lose.
Any Mac running Leopard has Time Machine... dedicate an external to that application and your back up worries are over.
