Sorry, Chris Koster, that's NOT What "Unanimous" Means . . .

Last week, I received an email from the Chris Koster campaign announcing "the unanimous support of Missouri’s law enforcement community for our candidacy was solidified when the St. Louis Police Officers’ Association endorsed me."

That would be an impressive accomplishment - if it were true! But it's a lie. Koster definitely does NOT have the unanimous support of Missouri's law enforcement community. Here's a list of Jeff Harris' law enforcement endorsements, and it demolishes Koster's claim.

* AUDRAIN COUNTY PROSECUTOR JASON LAMB
* AUDRAIN COUNTY SHERIFF STUART MILLER
* BOONE COUNTY PROSECUTOR DAN KNIGHT
* CHARITON COUNTY SHERIFF CHRIS HUGHES
* COOPER COUNTY SHERIFF PAUL MILNE
* HOWARD COUNTY SHERIFF CHARLIE POLSON
* KNOX COUNTY SHERIFF MICHAEL KITE
* LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF KERRICK ALUMBAUGH
* LINN COUNTY SHERIFF TOM PARKS
* MADISON COUNTY SHERIFF DAVID LEWIS
* MARIES COUNTY PROSECUTOR TERRY SCHWARTZE
* MARIES COUNTY SHERIFF DOUG DINATALE
* MARION COUNTY SHERIFF JOHN WALDSCHLAGER
* MORGAN COUNTY SHERIFF JIM PETTY
* RALLS COUNTY SHERIFF PAUL FORNEY
* RANDOLPH COUNTY SHERIFF MARK NICHOLS
* RAY COUNTY SHERIFF SAM CLEMENS
* ST. FRANCOIS CTY. PROS. WENDY WEXLER HORN
* ST. LOUIS CITY SHERIFF JIM MURPHY
* SALINE COUNTY SHERIFF WALLY GEORGE
* SHELBY COUNTY PROSECUTOR JIM MCCONNELL
* FORMER BOONE COUNTY SHERIFF TED BOEHM

Maybe Chris Koster's years of being a Republican have made him comfortable with simply ignoring facts that don't support his position. That's the way that his fellow Republicans like George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Matt Blunt have gotten our country into this mess, and exactly why we need true Democrats with REAL values.

Jeff Harris will be an honest Attorney General for Missouri - wouldn't that be better than having one who claims to have "unanimous" support?

Clearly Koster's statement is laughable and clearly not true, yet almost certainly the statement was written by a staffer and who knows what they meant.

The liberals like Dan are going to be whimpering on election night when Koster crushes the opposition.

Dan I had some faith in you when you endorsed John Bullard, who enjoys the support and friendship of Chris Koster. Now you are falling back into the type of whining that gave us Funk and Gloria. Get with the program.

Good repub response, bullrider. Ignore the facts, ignore the lies, ignore the dishonesty/stupidity, try to divert the "discussion," maintain blind loyalty to the brand. How long do you have to be lied to before realizing you're being taken for a ride?

blind loyalty to the brand

This pretty much describes every democrat AND republican I've met.
Watching the parties smear each other is about as much fun and productive as watching toddlers fight over toys.

Blind loyalty to the brand?

Are you REALLY claiming that all Dems suffer from that, on a Dem blog that just endorsed a Republican judge?

Koster - 38%
Donnelly - 32%
Harris - 30%

Love to see someone put a name to that crazy prediction!

You forgot to list Molly Korth Williams - if you believe that nonsense, you probably figure she's good for 25% or so . . .

Mike Sharp seems to have traded in for a new bimbo girlfriend or do you think this one is a lease too?

Just the facts you must be Sharp's manservant. Do you know how pathetic you look? No wonder you go to gay bars alone. What woman would have you? I doubt many men will have you either without being pretty drunk. There is so much more to tell the world about you.

A Hawk has obviously tripped upon the key to internet happiness. By gutlessly and anonymously attacking people through allegations without evidence, you can feel like you've inflicted damage on someone who has chosen to get involved and try to serve the public . . .

I'm not supporting Mike Sharp - I happen to think that John Bullard is the best candidate in the race, with the experience, vision and integrity to improve the Sheriff's office. But I hope that nobody gives even a tiny bit of credence to the sort of nonsense spread by people like A Hawk. Just ignore it, or think about how easy it would be to submit the same kind of anonymous crap using any other candidate's name.

You're right, Dan, that is easy.

Bravo, Whistleblower - you catch on fast.

Have a good and safe Fourth. You, too, A Hawk. By the way, I still haven't heard from your lawyer, as you threatened a while ago . . .

Dan, don't forget that it is also easy to use someone else's pseudonym . . .

I am secretly jealous of Just the Facts' good looks and I obsess about other people's sexuality because I was born without gender. I call myself "A Hawk" because I like to dress up in feather boas and run around my apartment flapping my arms and looking for rodents to eat.

OK this is the real A Hawk and you guys can have your fun, but the guy I am talking about who might be posting under the name Just the Facts Ma'am has a hell of a lot of baggage and that reflects badly on Sharp. What if Sharp makes a closeted queen the Under Sheriff? What will that do for morale? If I was really as bad as you guys say I am I would just post what I know about the guy but there are people checking facts on his background. I personally have seen the pictures of him going into Natasha's Bar downtown which everyone knows is a gay hang out but this guy is supposed to be married. It is all material to the election because it is a measure of what kind of people Sharp will bring with him if he wins.

You simply do not run into this kind of problem with Mike Mauer. He is a clean slate. No pick up artist. No insane girlfriends. No dead dogs in the car. No reprimands for private use of public funds. No closeted queers looking for jobs as in employment. No problems like Mark and Gloria at all.

By the way aren't you liberals going to defend the "rights" of guys to dress in feather boas and eat rodents in their apartments? As a moderate I do not have to do that and I am happy about it.

Sorry, A Hawk - I do stand up for your right to wear feather boas. And I also stand up for my own right to go to Bar Natasha - I've been there, too, and it's a fine place. Pretty decent beer selection, too.

How do you claim to know the identity of a pseudonymous commenter? How do we know it's not you posting under another name?

Ahawk, I've been to Bar Natasha several times. In your first post about this matter you didn't know the name of the bar.

That would be typical of someone from Eastern Jack.

You wouldn't happen to be from there, would you?

:o)

Yesterday was colloquially known as The 4th of July.

The Framers set that day aside for the consumption of beer and pyrotechnics, which makes rule by the mob possible. I enjoyed engaging in this most traditional of our national rituals.

Yet, A Hawk turned his or her back on America and spent his or her time placing offensive blog comments in a lame attempt for political gain.

Thank you to those who were called to service on a holiday, and posted insightful responses that pointed out A Hawk's political gamesmanship.

A Hawk's comments about candidates and campaign staff are merely a nuisance; however, his or her attacks on friends and family members of candidates should not be allowed to stand. I do not believe in banning or deletion, so counter-comments are the best response, in my opinion.

Now it is time for a little yard work before another round of patriotic beer consumption begins. (God Bless the United States of America!)

Because I have a good number of firefighters in my family lineage, I leave the fireworks to the crazy neighbors three doors down the street.

PS Has anyone ever seen A Hawk and SSideDem in the same room at the same time? Just a thought.

I ask the following questions for no reason other than I would like to know the answers:

Who is "A Hawk"?

Who is the "manservant" that he is referring to?

Is Sharp married or has he ever been married?

Sorry, A Hawk, you've crossed the line again. Attacking someone's sexuality from under a cloak of anonymity doesn't fly here. I deleted your comment.

I thought this was about Koster/Harris.

Did anyone notice that Harris pulled his Beatle's parody?

Word on the street is that it involved copyright problems.

The first campaign video from Harris indicated that he considered selling his "mix-tapes" on eBay.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=Yit9rawQiPU

It looks like Harris is unaware of such things as copyright laws.

Just what we need, another person in public office that considers themself to be exempt from the laws, but wants to hold others accountable.

Someone posted the following on the CCP blog. It is right on the money.

"8 months! Only 8 months!! I have written time and time again about the lack of experience Jeff Harris has vs Koster. I never had any idea how little experience Harris really had until now.

Did you know that when Jeff Harris served as an Assistant Attorney General it was ONLY FOR 8 MONTHS. This is all he talks about and he only held the job for 8 months.

For heavens sake, what kind of experience does he think he got in only 8 months. Did he take any vacation days? Did he catch a cold and stay home for a couple of days? Maybe he really only has 7 and a half months of experience as an Asst AG.

I have interns in my office that have 6 months stints. Was Harris really an just an intern? That might make a little more sense.

For crying out loud, who holds a job for 8 months and then brags about how much “experience” they earned. Most people don’t even put a job on their resume if they don’t stick with it for at least a year.

I think Paris Hilton was in jail for longer then Harris worked as an Asst AG.

Why would anyone ever elect a guy to be AG that could not even put forth an honest effort when he took a job as an Assistant AG. Why would anyone elect a guy that had such little interest in the AG’s office that he quit inside of a year of being hired. Harris accuses everyone else of being political opportunist and using this election as a stepping stone to the governor’s mansion. What did he do? Serving ONLY 8 MONTHS!! Was Harris padding his resume?

Harris’ slogan is “Real Democrat, Real Experience”. Real experience, my foot. I bet 99% of the people working currently as an Asst AG have more experience then Harris.

I must admit that when I have blogged in the past about Harris’ lack of experience, I had no idea he held the Asst AG job for such a short amount of time. Talk about exaggerating his experience. I thought when I would say “Koster has 10 times the experience of Harris”, I was using poetic license and that I was exaggerating a bit. Little did I realize that Koster really has 15 times the experience of Harris.

Think about it, Harris started his job. It probably took him 2 or 3 months to get to know everyone, figure out where the bathroom was and get worked into the equation. After that, he worked, at most, for 2 or 3 months before starting to think about quiting. He barely started, and he quit (we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that he did not get pushed out). For God sake, isn’t it kinda normal to call somebody “the new guy” until they have been there at least a year? Harris was still “the new guy” when he quit And now he wants people to believe that in this short 8 MONTH stint he somehow generated some huge amount of experience….please.

Does Harris have any other experience we should know about now that the whole Asst AG thing is kinda not all that impressive.

Sorry Jeff, experience is not something you can not just say you have. You actually have to work at it. And just a little more advice, it typically takes more then 8 months to gain truly valuable experience (i.e. knowing more then just where the bathroom is)."
