If You're Voting in the Missouri Republican Primary in Johnson or Cass Counties

Vote for Karl Timmerman.

I realize that the endorsement of a Jackson County liberal may not hold much water for a Republican voting in Johnson or Cass County, but I really encourage you to check out his page and talk to lawyers who have known him. In 2007, Karl was selected by the Missouri Lawyers Weekly as the Lawyer of the Year, and has the respect of his peers.

I've known Karl for years, both in person and through his weekly "Friday Night Ramblings" that he sends out to lawyers throughout the state. I frequently disagree with him, and we have had some intense exchanges, but he is honest, respectful, and completely bound to his principles.

I don't expect a lot of Republicans in the 17th Circuit to vote for Karl Timmerman because I say so. But I do expect that a lot of them will like what they see if they read his page or talk to him. He's a good man, and would be a fine judge.

Karl's Friday Night Ramblings have become a staple in our house. Sometimes funny. Sometimes quirky. Always a worthwhile read.

I can't think of anyone who would be better suited to sit on the bench. (Even at the Supreme Court level)

His reverent commentary with regards to his wife, his unrelenting support and concern for our troops, and his genuine concern for all those around the world, tells me that he is one of the best.

Karl has the rare ability to speak his mind, while still biting his tongue.

Democrats and Republicans alike could learn a lot from Karl Timmerman.

Did you ever meet someone that, regardless of their political alliance, you know they would be the one to trust. –That’s Karl Timmerman!

Karl Timmerman running for judge is almost enough motivation to induce me to move south and change parties.
(Almost, not quite.)

Good question. May I answer? A Circuit Judge is NOT a political position. A Circuit Judge does not nor should make policy. He/she is not a representative of the "will of the people". Accordingly, political affiliation does not matter. Keep in mind, a Circuit Judge is the only person in our America that can impose a death sentence and terminate parental rights. What matters? A candidates character. A candidates life experiences and last, a candidates legal experience, (any lawyer can research the law). Character and life experience is an indicator of whether a candidate will apply the law as he/she should. Here are the candidates: http://www.ktimmerman.com/Page9.html ... all I ask? Vote for whom you believe to be the most qualified candidate.
Warm Regards
Karl
