Why I Love Blue Girl

Kansas City is blessed with a bunch of great bloggers (many of whom came out for Viable Third last night), but nobody leaves me thinking "I wish I had written that!" more often than Blue Girl, who posts most regularly at Blue Girl, Red State.

Her most recent jealousy-inspiring post came on Thursday, when she dissected Claire "What Would Jim Talent Do?" McCaskill's most recent betrayal of America in a post entitled "McCaskill lets me down yet again".

I won't summarize it here - just go read it, and when you're there, add her site to your bookmarks. If you want to read more of my adulation of her, go read my blogger appreciation of her.

Boy, that is a thoughtful posting from Blue Girl. You disagree with Senator McCaskill on an issue and use words from SNL like "ignorant slut" or sexist terms like "bleached blonde". Genius posting! Even if you agree with what she wrote, how can you condone the innate sexist and gutter comments that are contained in the blog just because one disagrees with Claire on the issues. And you call yourself a progressive????As a Democrat, it is extremist bloggers like you and Blue State who will write or say anything that is making politics so distasteful. No different than the right wing. Why can't you stick to the merits of the issues and not resorting to divisive name calling and personal attacks on ones sex and/or race. Claire's response was solid even if you disagree with her.

Not surprising. The democrats in this area eat their own on a regular basis.

Can liberals do math?

During the race between Claire and Talent I often heard "Talent voted with Bush 96% of the time".
Now that Claire votes against her party 17-18% if the time, she is compared to Talent.
This is simple 8th grade math guys.

Claire has always voted her own way. As a prosecutor, she did what she thought was right, same as an auditor. Claire has back bone and isn't going to ever fall in line with the left wing/DFA types.

Dan has always gone his own way. As a blogger, he will beat up on Dems and support the Funk. Dan has back bone and isn't going to ever fall in line with the establishment of the Dmeocratic party.

I hope neither person changes.

That's funny. I'll have to advise Blue Girl she's part of the 'Democratic Establishment' - and run like mad from the enraged vituperation sure to ensue.
Just to clarify : BGRS was a fund-raiser and supportive blogger for McCaskill at one time.
