Happy Ronald Reagan Day, Chris Koster

Today, February 6, is Ronald Reagan day in Missouri. Guess who co-sponsored the bill to designate a day to honor the man responsible for Iran/Contra scandal, in which we provided arms to Iran?

Chris Koster, who is now claiming to be a Democrat, who claims that he can represent Democratic principles, stood on the floor of the Missouri Senate and helped make Ronald Reagan Day a reality for Missourians.

There are two possibilities here. One is that Ronald Reagan truly represents ideals that Chris Koster holds dear, and his conversion to the Democratic Party is insincere. The other is that he was insincere in his eager embrace of a Republican icon, and merely trying to fool people into thinking about his party affiliation.

(A third possibility would be that he was sincere then and now, and has entirely changed his view of Ronald Reagan. That would entail a staggering amount of sincerity for someone who is not particularly recognized for that characteristic. If that's it, though, and Chris Koster wants to issue an explanation about why he was gung-ho for Ronald Reagan Day a couple short years ago, but he now rejects Ronald Reagan as a personal hero, I stand ready to publish his apology.)

He also cosponsored a bill to name the Mississippi river bridge in St. Louis after Reagan.

He must think we all have Alzheimer's, just like his hero.

Dan -

Koster should take great comfort in the fact that you oppose him. Every candidate (with one exception) that you support ends up losing. (Funkhouser is the exception, but his time appears near.)

Dan, your political radar is terrible.

Since we know that only crazy liberals will vote in this primary and we know that folks within the KC Election Board elect the most liberal candidate (i.e. Senator Justus, a person Dan backed), makes me wonder how Koster will get any D primary voters.

Union members are horrible primary voters. Just ask Sen. Matt Bartle, whom the unions pledged to get knocked out.

Dan's political radar is uncanny. Hillary won the delegates. He dominated the '06 elections - http://www.gonemild.com/2006/08/yard-of-power.html.

He picked the Funk and Gottstein way early, and pretty much nailed the primary field last year -

I don't always agree with him, but Dan is kind of scary in his accuracy. I've never seen anyone come close to his record.

Some of Dan's losing picks:

- Deth Im
- John Edwards
- Hillary Clinton (sorry, but Obama won the most delegates and states, including Missouri)
- school secession issue

Whistleblowme - If this equals accuracy, you need new glasses.

I hope all democrats treat Koster in the same accepting manner. It ensures no one else will ever want to switch to the Democrats again.

Thank you!

You've made this Republican very happy. We love it when you fight amongst yourselves. Congrats Dan for being the fuel. Please keep the jabs comming, Koster deserves it for jumping ship.

Get him! I love it.

Anonymous - Dan didn't endorse Deth Im, nor predict he would win.

And you're wrong about the delegates, too - according to the New York Times, "Mrs. Clinton won 584 delegates in Tuesday’s vote, bringing her total to 845, according to a count by The Associated Press. Mr. Obama won 569 delegates for a total of 765, The A.P. reported. A candidate needs 2,025 votes to win the nomination."

Also, the school secession issue wasn't a prediction - everyone knew it was going to pass, but Dan (and I) thought it should go the other way.

Can you point to anyone who has rivaled Dan's record in the last two state and municipal elections? I've read a lot of different sources, and Dan's is the most accurate predictor.

Dan, are you as good at sports picks? If so, I'll pay for a trip to Las Vegas . . .

whistleblowme must be Dan's wife...

Dan: "Republicans hate children, kill baby seals and are evil".

whistleblowme: "Dan is the greatest and if you think otherwise you dont know anything."

I know Dan's wife, and she doesn't agree with him very often, either! (Except about republicans.)

But he does make the most accurate predictions on the internet.

Most accurate predictions on the internet? Compared to who? Tony's Kansas City? There's an accomplishment.

Back on target - Koster endorsed John Ashcroft over Mel Carnahan. Mel and Jean are saints in the Democratic Party.

Here's the link to Koster endorsing Ashcroft.

What about Koster screwing real Democrat Jolie Justus on MOHELA? What about Koster voting for Medicaid cuts?
