Failure, Kind of

Back in October, I brashly claimed "I Can Do This" and set out to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November, as part of NaNoWriMo.

It's now December, and I have about 10,000 words.

Despite the apparent failure, I've got 4 good characters, a setting, a plot, and a start. I'm going to finish it. But not in November.

I just watched "Infamous" on HBO last night...about Truman Capote when he wrote "In Cold Blood". It was really good. Isn't it interesting that the author of one of the most famous books of all time was so fascinating himself that he became the subject of movies about himself and his work.

Good luck on your book. Persevere! Can't wait to read it.

All you need is three weeks, one continuous 120 foot roll of tracing paper and lots of coffee.

You should be done well before Christmas.
