I Like Them Apples
Giving voice to the pro-war sentiment that you're either with us or you're against us, high-profile conservative Mark Smith today declared that veterans who oppose the war are "bad apples".
It's pretty obvious that for many of the war supporters, the only dependable soldier is a dead one.

I live with a veteran who went nuts when he saw that. I would like to see him say that to the face of a lot of veterans AND active duty personnel I know who are against this war.
I have a particular loathing for chickenhawks and war cheerleaders.
I know what bullets do to flesh. I worked trauma at Research - I was there for a lot of those murders the year we set the current record. That was tough enough. I am deeply concerned about my reservist and guardsman colleagues who have deployed over there. What we dealt with at Meyer and Prospect is tough enough.
Stop the war now. That's what that election we had was all about. Remember that? I do. Jolie is doing what we hired her for.
It is a Missouri issue. Our kids are dying.
